Others

We’ve covered the materials most often needed for customer projects, however we do have a range of more specialised materials available.
These are considered experimental, but are of interest because they have some unique characteristics lending themselves to particular requirements.:

  • Wood Filled PLA. Contains wood fibres and produce prints having wood-like characteristics. This material is light coloured, and can be stained and painted.

  • Copper filled PLA. Contains a high percentage of elemental copper dust. This provides characteristics like electrical conductivity and also resistant to algae growth when immersed in water.

  • POM: polyoxymethylene. This material is very difficult to print, but it has an extremely low coefficient of friction, useful in some applications.

  • PP: Polypropylene: Very difficult to print, this material finds use in applications requiring flexibility with high durability, such as living hinges.

Please enquire about these materials if you feel you have an application that might need them.
